Welcome to Val Gardena - Gröden, in our language "Gherdëina", in the middle of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Come and enjoy your holiday in our beautiful mountains. During the summer season you can go for hikes, walks and bike tours, the winter invites you to Dolomiti Superski, a wonderful skiing area, with the famous Sella Ronda. You will get to know our traditions and costumes, especially the 400 year old art of wood carving.

  • For every booking we ask for a deposit. Only after its arrival the reservation is confirmed for you and us. We do not accept any credit card.
  • We remind you that a temporary visitor tax will be levied on all stays in accommodation establishments per person and day, except children under 14 years.
  • The apartment is available: on arrival day from 1:00 PM till departure day at 9:30 AM.

Location

Our house with garden is situated in a quiet and sunny position in the Rome Street 25, two minutes away from the centre of the village and the pedestrian zone of Ortisei.

The orbit of Seceda and the funicular of Resciesa are in the near. You can spend your holiday without car, because you are able to achieve all locations in the village just by walking, such as the Ski school, the Ski service and the Ski pass office.

You find us following the "Yellow Route" in direction of the orbit of Seceda since into the Rome Street. After 100 m you will see our Apartments Cësa Zorz.

Sculptures - Woodcarvings from Val Gardena Gröden Gherdëina - St. Ulrich Ortisei Urtijëi - Dolomites South Tyrol - Italy

The 400-year-old art of wood carving in Val Gardena is nowadays globally recognised. Following my father and my grandfather in this artistic profession, I began to carve many sculptures. In 1971 I gained the diploma of "Master Sculptor". In my long activity of woodcarver I created numerous religious and profane sculptures for churches and private collections in different countries. I took part in exhibitions, especially at UNIKA events.

My completely hand-carved works are guaranteed from the trademark of the board of trade Bolzano / Bozen. You will find me in my studio in Ortisei / St. Ulrich. Feel free to visit me, I will be pleased to show you how to carve a sculpture.
